Hi, and welcome to class! This site is where most of the content for your class will be located. If you have internet access outside of school, you should be able to get to most of what you need for class right here. If you don’t have access but need something from here, we’ll try to arrange for you to get it during the day.
On the pages listed, you’ll find different topics that explain class rules and policies. Please make sure you are familiar with them. You’ll also find a place on this site where you can subscribe to updates. This will help you keep up with homework, notes, or just cool things to look at. There’s also a list of Upcoming Events that will give you a round about idea of when we’ll have tests as well as other school events and functions.
If you look under Links, you’ll find a category called Useful Downloads. There you’ll see a link to Adobe Reader and OpenOffice. These may be things that you’ll need in order to access information on this site. Most of us are familiar with Acrobat Reader. OpenOffice may be something new for you. OpenOffice is alot like Microsoft Office except you can download it for free. It has a word processor, a spreadsheet, a database program, a presentation program, and even a drawing program. You’ll be able to open any Microsoft office file with it. I use it myself and really like it. Keep in mind that you don’t have to download these for this class. They are not required. However, if you don’t have a version of Microsoft Office or even of just Powerpoint, you can get these for free and they’ll work just fine.
