Learning Target – I can explain chemical and physical changes and properties.

We went over our quiz from last Friday as well as our Create an Element sheet.  The Create an Element sheet is a REDO.  Most of you should have finished it today.  If not, please make sure you turn it in on tomorrow or Friday if you’re in 5th period.

I went ahead and gave classes the homework assignment for tomorrow night.  It is not due until Friday when you take your test.  Please remember it must be completed and it will give you 5 bonus points on your test.

The study guide is up if you want to work through it.  There is no password this time.  Also, you can get a paper copy from me in the morning if you’d like to pick one up.

Do the parenthesis in a chemical equation mean that there are two

    kkingins Reply:

It depends on what’s outside the parentheses. () with a 4 as a subscripts would mean there are 4.

    Like (SO4)
    There’s 4 of them

    kkingins Reply:

    There’s 4 oxygen in that case. But if it’s (SO4)4, that means you have SO4 four times. So you would have SO4 SO4 SO4 SO4. That makes 4 S’s and 16 O’s.

Welcome. The one on your test won’t be like that.
